Hello! I’m Hitomi
Hi, I’m Hitomi, the host of Tako no Ma.
I was born and raised in Osaka, and I’ve always loved the cozy, joyful feeling of making takoyaki at home with family and friends.
It’s not just about food—it’s about sharing stories, laughing together, and creating warm memories.
Why I Started Tako no Ma

I created Tako no Ma because I wanted to share that cozy, real-life Osaka experience with people from around the world.
So many food tours focus on restaurants—but I wanted to invite people into a space that feels like home.
Not perfect, not fancy—just honest, handmade takoyaki, made with love.
What You Can Expect

When you come to Tako no Ma, I’ll be right there guiding you step by step—pouring the batter, flipping with bamboo sticks, adding your favorite toppings.
Don’t worry if you’ve never cooked before. We’ll laugh through the mistakes and enjoy the mess together.
That’s the charm of home-style takoyaki!
Looking Forward to Meeting You

Every guest who visits brings something special to this little room.
I feel so grateful for every conversation, every smile, every memory we create together.
I can’t wait to welcome you to Tako no Ma.

I hope this experience stays in your heart as a warm memory of Japan.
If you ever hear the word “takoyaki,” I’d be so happy if it reminds you of your time at Tako no Ma.
A Small Note
One small note—I only speak Japanese!
But don’t worry, we’ll use gestures, smiles, and takoyaki to communicate.
It always works out somehow (and it’s usually pretty fun!).
